Endothelial-Specific Adenoviral Overexpression System

 

Introduction

Adenoviruses are widely used and powerful research tools for investigating virological and cellular events.  There has been a long-lasting interest in using viral vectors, especially adenoviral vectors, to deliver therapeutic genes for the past two decades. Among all currently available viral vectors, adenovirus is the most efficient gene delivery system in a broad range of cell and tissue types. Multiple adenoviral vectors were developed for in vitro and in vivo gene delivery. 

 

Expression system of adenoviral system has several advantages in vivo cell expression, ex vivo tissues or organs, and in vivo animal studies for

 

1)     molecular tool to study gene expression in difficult-to-transduce cell types

(endothelial, neural and other types of primary cell cultures);

2)     the production of high levels of recombinant, potentially therapeutic proteins;

3)     in vivo vaccination, for example, chimpanzee adenovirus vector Ebola vaccine;

4)     gene therapy.

 

Cell Biologics have developed a rapid, efficient endothelial specific adenoviral expression system for target gene delivery system in vitro cell culture and in vivo animal studies. The shuttle vector was incorporated by a 2.5 kb mice endothelial specific promoter in front of the multiple cloning sites vector to ensure target genes expressed only in endothelial cells for studying target gene functions in endothelial biology in vivo.  The universal adenoviral expression system allows customers to study the functions of endothelial-related target genes.

 

System contents:

 

a.     Endothelial specific PacAd5E shuttle vector (Catalog number: CB168V, ~$1000).

Notes: We can provide customer requested-cloning service to construct your target

genes into the universal and endothelial cell-specific in vivo expression vector.  We can also provide the ready-to-use recombinant adenovirus for customer request. Cost of specific cloning service depends on the length, structure complex of target genes.

 

b.     PacAd5E-100 backbone vector (Catalog number: CB166V, ~$500)

c.     PacAd5E-GFP control vector. (Catalog number: CB169V, ~$300)
